Ian, the water is about 16C and it’s cold because it is not heated. We swim at 5pm most days as it helps to make my heart stronger and it helps Jessica’s back and hip. An early evening swim helps us cope with the hot humid nights. When we are in the UK we love swimming at Clevedon Tidal Pool and Weston Super Mare Tidal Pool.

Well, trying to make those Samosa wrappers from scratch was a disaster They were a sticky mess & I haven't got the knack, Yet it looks so easy when you watch someone else doing them on YT.



I'll freeze the Samosa mixture & wait til I get some ready-made ones. I wonder if Spring roll wrappers are the same.

Thank you Jeff for your caring and sensible thoughts, sadly he is in the grips of alcohol and smoking dope, a club member of good standing. His priority is to stay drunk to avoid alcohol withdrawal and getting seizures. He drinks wine plus plus instead of eating a meal and he says he is passing blood for several weeks. I tried to discuss with him going for rehab, detox and drying-out and asking the Salvation Army to get involved, as detoxing on his own at home is nearly impossible. So many detox centres have been closed down.

I worked in a detox centre in Kings Cross in London where it had a 21 day programme for getting people off alcohol and drugs. It was run by a charity and it was fairly successful. There is nothing like that where he lives.

His biggest fear remains, what will happen to his cat when he is dead.

Good deed for the day done early. Wee Great T1t managed to get into the kitchen, door was only open a couple of inches. Didn’t appreciate me freeing it, got a grip of my finger!

It's definitely cardigan weather despite it being sunny. I've been planting some more butter beans & climbing Borlotto beans for Winter soups & casseroles.
