Hi Rob, No further progress to report I'm afraid. Waiting for the post Christmas finances to recover before further progress is made. I will probably buy a painted one and fit brackets etc when the time comes. ATB Andy |

I might do the same - and then make a decision as to which HU to buy. I'd like to get a Pioneer - but they're pretty expensive with sat nav...

FWIW, the finish on the fascia that I got is a perfect match for the other plastic on the dash. If you are going to spend £100 on a piece of plastic then its important that its right.

I'd have to agree with you there Eammon.
Even though I didn't pay the full price for mine I was worried that it'd look odd when fitted to the car but it doesn't. In fact it looks OEM when seen with the rest of the centre console. |

I got mine from the US. I think Paul(Raistlin) got his from another member. I'm sure he will be along to clarify.

I guess no one has yet tried our German friend's product then? I've been in touch with them - and assuming that they can supply a bezel I might just go down this route if for no other reason than to see whether their quality is up to scratch too!
But I am in a quandary though - should I really go the tried and tested route given the expense involved? |

From what I can remember Rob, the German fascias were not gaining any negative feedback on fleabay so I would assume that they are acceptable. Certainly cheaper than the chap in the USA but I'm convinced he is just pushing for as much as he can get. They really are not worth that sort of money in their own right. |

This Seller has unpainted fascias: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Blende-D-DIN-B...QQcmdZViewItem
Seems to sell them for as little as €30/£20: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=270200189074 The finished BIN price is about €150/£100 inclusive of postage: http://search.ebay.de/search/search....zel&category0= There must be a lot more than just a few coats of paint involved for a price difference of €100
