Cool Tips on how to save money.

Now we are well past the longest day and the nights are getting darker sooner it's time to top up those essential fluids.
Headlight fluid is especially important. I find it's worth paying the extra for the lighter fluid. Indicators, remember to get the right colour for your car. Clear lenses you need orange fluid and orange lenses you need clear. This time of year tyres should be filled with liquid helium to cool the roads and lighten your vehicle to avoid damage to soft tarmac.

To get the best value from your petrol, fill the car around 1am as the air is at its coolest so you will get denser petrol. Denser petrol burns better and longer than the stuff you buy through the day when it's warm. You will see an increase in your MPG by as much as 2%. That makes it better value than the current interest rate from the bank of England.

If everyone in the UK aims one screen wash jet at your windscreen and one over the top of your car then we will all benefit from free screen wash. You will also save money by slipstreaming the car in front so you will use less petrol.

You can save money on your home electric bill by everyone sitting in the car charging their phones etc using the free electricity you get from the car battery. If you want to save even more money then buy the biggest inverter you can find and run home appliances whilst running your engine. If you use the inverter to run a battery charger you will top up the free electricity at the same time.

Owners of electric cars can fit a simple switch to reverse charge their home. Once charged you can then flick the switch back the other way and use all that free electricity you've just dumped from your car to charge it back up again.

I hope these tips save you as much money as they have saved me.
