Drive belts
A couple of years ago I bought the drive belt for my Rover75CDT. I do around 2500 miles a year so the mileage on the clock will have been around 135,000. Yesterday on inspection I noticed fraying, which makes me think the belts are in need of urgent replacement. Checking Haynes manual it recommends 90,000-mile change. So they are way overdue. I'm hoping my journey to the big meet in Lincolnshire is OK! How difficult is the job of replacement?

They can be a pain to change if your not used to doing them, lots of preys to thread around with little room..
You will also need a long 24mm spanner to release the tensioner. Arctic will be along soon with a detailed how to I'm sure. Sent from my SM-G780G using Tapatalk

Thanks, Andy- I wasn't really thinking of embarking on this job myself! I'm just thinking of how much it may cost at my garage? While I'm on I'm thinking of driving down to see Tom Hobbs. How far is he from the Water Tower in Swingate? I've looked on Google Earth, but can't see anything resembling a garage.

A good garage will do it in less than an hour, tom is literally over the road from the water tower.

Rob. Change the aircon belt at the same time. You will find that it is worse for wear than the auxiliary drive belt.

It can be a shock/pain if the tensioner? bolt turns instead of releasing tension.
