Default Bonnet Struts

I've been working under the bonnet for seventeen years, but a new problem has just emerged. The unending gale force winds, which have persisted for months here in Whitby, mean that the open bonnet becomes a sail, and slams down with considerable force when least expected. It has just hit my head, and I am not amused! Are the hydraulic struts available, or is there some alternative means of holding the bonnet securely open?
Every other car I have owned has had a movable strut to hold the bonnet, which tucks into the slam panel when not in use.
Any suggestions?

Quite a few members have these fitted. I have their boot struts and I am well impressed.

Short (possibly long) term solution, just wedge it in...

SGS engineering definitely. Simple to fit and make the bonnet so much more stable. I got fed up of having the bonnet pin removed from the back of my head and the broom handle was always in the way of where I needed to get. Also got the boot ones changed while I was at it.

I fitted SGS bonnet struts a few months ago and again, a "thumbs-up" from me.

From memory they were about £38 for the pair with the shipping, and it took literally two minutes to fit both, including removing the old struts.

I hope your head hasn't formed a power hump in the bonnet
