Hi Phil. Mine was supplied by the NHS, Accu-Chek Performa Nano.

Pouch contains the meter itself, container is the strips that plug into the meter (plug into the meter then a drop of blood onto the end of it), pen like thing is the spring loaded gizmo for pricking your finger. Meter switches on when you put a strip in it then switches itself off again after the strip is removed. You can go in and look at previous readings etc.

I still check myself now and then but my sugar level is so well controlled now I could just about paint the reading onto the screen, rarely varies.

Morning Phil,

I'm feeling perfectly fine now.....Unfortunately I still tested positive this morning so I'm going to have to miss my Dad's surprise Birthday Party/Dinner this evening.
Gutted to not be able to attend bit it is what it is !

Ros has very mild symptoms thankfully. A bit of a headache and a sore throat.

I have my third and final laser treatment for my eyes on Tuesday morning so I'm hoping that I don't have to cancel that as well.....Fingers crossed for a negative result before then.

How did your ten lengths go ?

Hi Phil,

This is the meter I have but to be honest they all do much the same.

The machines are pretty much given away as the money is made by selling the test strips. Thankfully mine are on prescription!

The good thing with this one is that it has bluetooth so you can upload all your results to an app and monitor your levels over a long period.

Cracking day again here except for that wind, Spring must be here at last as the auto-window opener on the greenhouse is almost fully open.
