Yet another stunning sunset, I must dig out my camera and walk down to the Great Ouse it's only 10 minutes away and get some proper Fenland photos.
This one on the phone again but from the back door this time.

How is everyone?

A cloudy start today but it is 24C. Yesterday we had a health check up: eyes - optometrist, ears - audiologist, teeth - dentist, nutritionist, ECG, full blood count, urinalysis, blood glucose, PSA done, then a GP face-face consultation. As it was the “economy” package, the finger up the bum from the proctologist was not offered.

I dare say you'll find somebody who will do that for a small fee

Feeling a wee bit dizzy and balance feels off, both are symptoms of anaemia which they suspect I have Probably be another couple of days before I get results from the various tests.

Local chemist and GP were on the ball. I did an online repeat for my prescription on Sunday, delivered Tuesday afternoon.

Thank you Steve for the suggestion

By coincidence, the GP asked if I was getting breathless or dizzy? When I asked why, she said my ECG was abnormal with a prolonged PR wave. She added it wasn’t serious if I wasn’t getting dizzy. She reckoned it was caused by a side effect of the medication I am on. I didn’t know I had it. Apart from the PSA, all the blood results have come back normal. When I looked into the path lab, all they had were 3 machines and the results came back the same day.

Then the audiologist rang this morning and she quoted £50 to syringe each of my ears out. I told her as a retired NHS registered nurse, I couldn’t afford her prices and could she please reconsider those prices. She agreed to knock £20 off.

Bartering is fairly common.

Good to hear your pharmacy is delivering a top service for you, that’s one less worry.

Hopefully your GP will be able to find out what is wrong and set up a treatment plan, do get well soon.
