Morning all Good morning Ian, you have the patience of a saint waiting for the jab. I heard yesterday how some of the vaccines are being sold out of the back door at one of our local hospitals, something we refuse to get involved in, a despicable practice and highly illegal.

We are downtown this morning in Nairobi at Government House getting Jessica’s fingerprints done for her ID card. It’s hot and sunny, everyone is masked up, some are wearing their masks on their chins and necks.

What are you up to?

Morning everyone.

Cloudy but really warm here. Due to stay overcast most of the day but a lovely weekend is forecast .

Had a great day yesterday. Meet up with friends we've known for coming up to 40 years at Hidcote Manor. Good catch up, very peaceful and calm surroundings. Lovely.

Today is more slab shifting then tomorrow I'm stripping the back brakes off my son's 2010 BMW320d. They look remarkably like Rover ones . I owe him more than that for doing our bathroom .

Have a good one.

No, not anti-vac.--Just a lifelong fear of needles from the age of 10 when my arm was really painful after a diphtheria jab.

However, this time I didn't feel a thing and I seem to have had no reaction at all to the jab.--Pfizer.-----------------

I used to hate needles until they discovered diabetes and I was on insulin for a while. That very rapidly changes your opinion of needles. I was self injecting insulin for almost a year until they decided I was controlling the diabetes well enough to go onto tablets.

Been raining here, very heavy shower earlier. Wondering why it was getting so dark while I was making breakfast, rain was bouncing off the ground!

G'day folks - turned all grey and cloudy here, with just a few spots of rain now & then. At least the humidity has eased a bit after another warm and sticky night.
Apart from re-ordering my monthly supply of pills (online) - I've got nowt planned for today. Might have half an hour's snooze in the armchair this afternoon to compensate for a poor night's sleep last night

Depressing when I go out and bring more back from the chemist than the supermarket

John, its quite understandable having a fear of needles. My worst experience was 2 years ago when I had shingles in the eye and on the head which was painful. The worst part was having acupuncture to manage the headaches with needles being inserted one either side of each eyeball, one needle into the jaw on each side of the face, a needle into each palm, a needle into my abdomen, a needle between the toes on each foot and hot towel wrapped on top of the head to make me feel sleepy and relaxed. That was the theory of it and the therapist said “no pain, no gain”

After about 45 minutes, I could not stand it, the needles in the eyeballs was worse. I called the acupuncturist over to remove the needles. The acupuncture felt like torture. ......I never went back
