Well,

Work went a bit Pete Tong this morning.

Gt Yarmouth bridges were both closed. I turned up at my clients to do their staff photoshoot and nobody had turned up due to said bridge closures.

Oh well, back to the boat and did some more cleaning.

Still got the canopy, fenders and polishing to do, that can wait until next time though.

She is looking a lot better than she did. All the winter grime, bird poo and Saharan desert removed.....

Might take her out for a pootle up the river later.

Popped over to another Guide Dog friend yesterday. Her dog goes in for formal training in a few weeks and it's always a difficult time as they've been with you from 8 weeks old for about a year. Quizzie came home with a surprise toy bought specially for her . Maybe it was in payment for the home made Victoria sponge filled with strawberry jam and extra thick double cream that I baked and took with us .

"Monkey" has already had one arm shredded and part of an ear ripped open.
She's such a loving, cuddly dog, our Quiz

Take care, whatever you're up to.

THANK YOU ANDY. It's good job I took your advice & got my body builders calf checked out, It is indeed a DVT, I've spent over 6 hours today at Bolton hospital getting all the tests done today (well most of them) I could barely walk today & carted meself off to (I was told Wigan hospital by my GP to see the DVT team) but you couldn't park up there within a country mile of the place , So off I goes back to Bolton & acted numb as to what my GP told me & just turned up at A&E there They told me off for not coming sooner & apparently taking strong painkillers & cider isn't going to cut it

I have to go back to the DVT clinic in Bolton tomorrow for a scan, X-Ray on my chest showed clots & a number of blood tests showed my clotting test was off the scale as to what it should be
DVT medication to start taking from today.

Bl00dy hell Ian, just as well Andy pointed you in that direction.

I'm a bit off myself, had an unpleasant "spaced out" feeling for a couple of days, slight dizziness but not falling down dizzy. Seems its something that can come with anaemia, always felt the iron and folic acid tabs didn't seem to be doing much. If it doesn't improve over the weekend looks like I'll be on the phone to the GP again

Cheers Ian, my friend.

Just happy that you've got the medical help needed - even if is was a bit of a trek all around the county.

All those years watching "Casualty" have finally paid off (are you sure you haven't got a pneumothorax too 'cus everyone on there has one and then gets pipes stuck in their chest ).

Look after yourself.

Take care.

Cool

Shopping done.

Time to dig over the new “strawberry” patch in the garden. Sorted through the pots and emptied 8 out, the soil and compost went into the strawberry patch.

Chicken curry and rice for dinner.

Just baked another loaf.

Might have a large glass of Jura single malt to round the day off.

Pork rogan josh & Henry’s vintage tonight (ended up going out last night) very tasty🙃

Washed & hoovered the latest money pit this morning, had a slow, boring afternoon............was supposed to go to the BCVM in Leyland today but was let down at the last minute.

Might blast off over to the lakes tomorrow, without the unreliable ones. I hate wasting my time off.
