My new girlfriend.
I recently broke up with my girlfriend Lorraine Smith as I have met another girl, Clair Lee.
Wait for it.............................. I can see Claire Lee now Lorraine has gone!

many years ago I think it was on capitol radio they used to do a section about, I think, heart break, no idea if they still do it. At the end they would play a song. There was this long story from this chap and the punch line was " I can see Deirdre now Lorraine has gone" This has stuck with my for well over 20 years, perhaps even 40 or more years.

Yes, I think that would have been Chris Tarrant's breakfast show on Capital Radio, circa late 80s early 90s. I used to listen to it on my drive to work.
The one I remember is:- Kenny Rogers was getting of a bus when his cowboy boot broke. "You picked a fine time to leave me loose heel" Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
