Do a search for Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner - very good stuff. But there are others almost as good too

Deffo Gliptone then, and the smell gives the car that quality, new-car smell

Nice.

Try www.buffaloleather.co.uk. Good mail order kit with cleaner and sealer. I have used renapur cleaner and balsam which is very good but the cream is not fully absorbed and can annoy the wife, the leather loves it thou! the buffalo sealer dries in 20 mins and seals the leather leaving a protective shine. I have also used coltsfoot oil which again is good but leaves a residue.

Does this honestly give the leather smell?

Hi Ian

Well I think it does. All cleaners leave a smell I suppose - (The AG one stinks in my opinion!) The Gliptone leaves that really "new car" type of a smell

I second that, Gliptone defo smells of leather. I don't really use the cleaner, just the conditioner. Best place is eBay.

I use Gliptone in the ZT and the old MGB. People often comment "mmm..love the smell of leather in new cars" in the ZT (which is now 7 years old, and has alcantara seats!), or "mmm..you can't beat the smell of real old leather" in the MGB !
