27,000 kilometre mileage car for sale

Spotted this for sale, on Trade Me, here in New Zealand.
Has travelled a mere 27,000 odd kilometres!
Is being sold by a well known dealer in Christchurch.
I have emailed him with what I noticed as odd. The dash pic shows the instrument cluster and clock as having Mk1 dials, yet the rest of the car is very Mk2.
Were customers able to request a Mk1 dash at all?
Is being marketed at a cost of NZD $12,990 😮 That equates to just over £7000.
VIN number SARRJZLLM5D331270

I can't see it selling too fast over here, even at that mileage! Is NZ new, and a motoring site confirms the mileage.

Some Early facelift cars does have the mark 1 dials . I use to have 2004 mk2 facelift but it did have mk1 dials .

I have also noticed after putting the VIN number in the MG Rover build details site, that this car was earmarked as export to Japan!
According to the NZ website I checked the cars rego on, it was registered as brand new in NZ.
Maybe it got diverted to NZ instead of Japan.
Intriguing it is.
