Hi

I just replaced my main headlight bulb. After messing round the last time..and cutting my finger.. ...I took off the wheel this time and did it. Makes access much easier and you can get your head in under wheel arch to see what you are doing. Much easier for little effort.

I suspect removing the bumper is easier in the long run, once you have removed it a few times it does not take long.

I need to get new fixings to replace the badly rusted ones that retain the front bumper. had an awful job undoing those to fit the shannon tube and I only undid the N/S and across the front as I fear I will have to drill out some of the O/S screws they are well rusted and chewed up already.

The 'mains' should seem brighter than the 'dip'. But to me it sounds like they could be just badly adjusted - get them checked for aiming.

And just in case you haven't got one, here is an online Manual: http://storm.oldcarmanualproject.com...nersmanual.pdf

The Haynes "Book of Lies" says to take them to your local MG Rover specialist .......................................... fat lot of use that is .

Thanks but TGB came wth the leather wallet which still has what appears to be an unused AA Glovebox Atlas, Extended warranty owners Guide, Traffic Autostore booklet for the Audio & Navigation Systems, European Directory, Service Portfolio and the hand book.

Will see if I can have a further look at the lights today. Have to try and fit the new Brake pad wear sensor lead anyway if I can.
