A/C help
My A/C has not cold since having the 190. I went to get a re-gas a few days ago and as suspected there was very little oil etc. It got re-gassed and I have the read out with so know there is the correct amount in there. There is no leak
When they tested it, still did not get cold. They recommended maybe it was stuck and to see how it does for a few weeks. My fan is fine, there is also click from the relay in the fuse box. I suspect that the compressor is not working of maybe bushes?. I have looked for a how to to remove it but cannot find it, also if it is removed and checked or replaced is all the refrigerant lost so another re-gas is needed. Any other thoughts of what to try first |

It could maybe be a worn out condensor that's causing your woes. They have a habit of losing their fins due to age/mileage and this decreases the efficiency of the air con.
This was my old one.

Is your compressor clutch engaging ?
The centre of the pulley should spin around if it's engaged, if not engaged the centre stays still.

Is that or was it a bird in the top right corner?

Sadly it was a bird. It looks like it happened some time ago and someone had just pushed the mesh on my bumper back in to place.
This was what awaited Jules when he removed the condensor, how it got there is a mystery.

The wire plugs into the compressor itself, short wire from compressor to a plug that is attached to the compressor case
