You all make valid points, as was expected.
The real problem is the fact that the MR2 is not suitable if the Wife is working at the weekend, it's a surprising spacious little car but 2 kids and a cricket kit bag ain't gonna fit. I'm not going to replace the 75, it's such a good car and so useful and in the back of my mind is always the hope that it will go up in value one day. So the choice comes down to a cheap runaround, putting her on the MR2 insurance or replacing the MR2. The MR2 is much like our 75s at the moment though, great fun to drive but practically worthless but might increase in value over the next few years. |
