It was awful.

Ted's wife is worried as he hasn't come home for his evening meal. Since retiring Ted plays golf every Wednesday with his friend Larry, but he is always home in plenty of time for dinner.

As time wears on Ted's wife gets more and more concerned. By 9pm she is so worried that she is about to phone the hospital when the door opens and in comes Ted. He looks shattered, and is covered in sweat.

Ted says, "It's been awful, just awful."

His wife asks, "What happened?"

Ted replies, "We were on the seventh green when Larry collapsed with a heart attack, and neither of us had a mobile phone." "It was awful, just awful."

His wife says, "It is awful, but what has taken so long?"

Ted replies, "You have no idea how awful it was! Play a shot - drag Larry, play a shot - drag Larry....."
