Battery for 75CDT??
Can anyone help?
This morning battery dead. Looks like it's given up the ghost. I've tried to locate a replacement at various locations eg; Rimmers Local stockists etc but all saying they're hard to come by. Anyone out there got an idea? Many thanks, pm |

Any battery manufacturer should carry an equivelent battery to fit your car no problem. we use "Multi Cell" for all the caravan batteries we order, also should we need batteries for motor vehicles we also use the same company.

I've just bought one - the accessory shop said it must be one heavy duty battery as after looking it up, it was also the appropriate battery for a Ford Transit Diesel Van.
Works perfectly, same size (dimensions) as the original, 4 year guarantee and cost £60

Halfords sell them off the shelf. Coincidently the 75cdt and mg260/75V8 have the same battery

The capacity needs to be 75 AMP hour. & I think 630AMP cranking current.
Beware of cheap equivalents. Also if the new one feels lighter in weight, it will most certainly have smaller plates, hence smaller capacity. Halfords are expensive compared to Motor factors, for the same product.

Hello Paul - It was local - they also have a garage which is a member of the 'Good Garage Scheme' and did a full service for £125 (including resetting service indicator back to 15,000) - was quoted £300 from an MGR specialist for the same job
