Yep. Vista is silly coz as of yet no one has made a RAID driver for it.
Which means I can't run it. Did have the intention of dual-booting XP and Vista, but until someone makes a RAID driver then I'm a bit stuck. (Last check was end of November, so if someone knows of one available then let me know... ) |

I thought about it, and then ran the update adviser just to check, and it seems there are compatibility problems with one of my music software "dongles" and some of my music software, so it can wait until that's sorted

I have it running on a spare HP D530 it needs >512MB to instal
It looks very slick the GUI is a vast improvement on the previous Betas. Do I like it, dunno it is just windows with bells on after all It has a very annoying security feature it constantly asks you to give it permission to run certain apps I have not worked out how to turn that feature off yet It also loaded sound drivers for the built in soundcard but I can' get a peep out of it. I will need to reinstall XP just to convince myself the sound still works It comes with windows media centre built in and that looks interesting as I have not played with that yet. Because my company pays for my Technet plus subscription I get most MS products to play with, most are over my head but a few make it worth while. I signed up for the now closed customer preview program and was able to download Vista and activation code for free. |
