Morning, sort of nothing in particular day, not wet, not sunny either.

Got a heavy duty cardboard box the size of a small bungalow (from the cross trainer) and lot of internal cardboard packing to dispose of, load of polystyrene packing blocks as well. Council will collect the cardboard but has to be cut up into manageable size pieces and tied together, polystyrene has to be binned.

Afternoon all, Beautiful sunny day out there now, It's not too hot with a nice breeze
Meatballs in a tomato & garlic sauce with pasta shells for tea tonight
The dwarf sunflowers have finally opened I have about a dozen of them I grew from seed around the garden, The birds will be well fed next year speaking of which the sparrow & starling numbers are back to levels I saw as a child They've really come on in numbers over the last year I'm filling the suet ball feeders twice a day at present for the ravenous fledgling starlings.

Cool

Been a lovely day right up to 4pm, then we had a short sharp shower. Both cars washed.

Still waiting for Matt to come have a look at Banana.

Hands and wrists are aching, spent ages chopping up, folding, tying up the cardboard bungalow the cross trainer came in along with all the cardboard interior packing. Real heavy duty cardboard, not easy to fold even with the "grain". That's all ready for the recycling. Polystyrene is another matter, so much I can't put it all in the bin, would fill it

Keeps looking as if its going to rain here. Wish it would, clammy as hell.

Oh here, forgot to mention, I nearly got nutted by a Kestrel earlier! I was in the garden when all the wee birds on and around the feeders suddenly vanished, what have they seen Bl00dy Kestrel whistled past only about a foot away from my ear

I see them regular around here as with sparrowhawks, they use the cotton mills as vantage points to swoop down on small birds.
Those suet ball feeders are empty again already three hours it took to demolish three balls in each

Cool

Morning everyone.

Overcast here, looks like we had rain in the night.

Off out today to visit a couple of very special friends who live in Weymouth. Not seen Ian & Jan for almost 2 years.
