It's a nice looking car but I think it looks daft with the V8 badges on.

How can you put V8 badges on a non V8 car. That defeats the whole object. People can obviously tell that it isn't a V8....a 1.8 sounds nothing like a V8. He must be mad. You either buy the actual thing or just live with what you have got as far as im concerned. Whats the point of doing up cars so they look like something there not. Im proud to own a Rover 75 V6. I am not saying I wouldn't like a V8 because I would but would I put a V8 badge on my V6.....no way!

Regards
Tom

I'd reckon the auction would do much better if he advertised it properly, took off the silly V8 badges and pushed the selling points of the 1.8 Turbo unit rather than saying (in the style of a Californian shifty-looking guy) "Yeah, it's like totally V8, man"

Hmmm. I feel the need to buy it just to remove those V8 badges. I'm sure someone would buy it off me after... Perhaps my Dad - he wants a new car.

(Oh - just remembered. I'm skint! Doh! )

We should have a 'wip round' and buy it just so we can de-badge it poor thing
