Morning all, Cold windy & wet here. A hailstone shower has just passed through & what an all mighty racket that was on the conservatory roof.

I've seen it all now - young mother walking down the road to school with her daughter (I presume) - swigging from a can of Aldi lager

She's probably a close friend of another mother who allows her dog to c--p on the grass just outside the school gate - and can't be bothered to clean up

Cool

And now we have rain.

But got one load of rubbish down to the tip. And shifted a car load of stuff down to the Sue Ryder charity shop in Carkeel. They was well happy with what I took, half of it I brought down from Essex 18 months ago.

I hope the weather is kind for you tomorrow Richard, so your Aunt can have a good send off.

As you know we live in a small holding. Yesterday all was quiet until Jessica said she had spotted 2 men lurking in the long grass behind the house at 11 a.m. She asked if I could investigate. By the time I got my Wellies on and got to them, they had legged it into the forest. I later discovered, they had taken all of our ducks. We have geese, chickens untouched, so will have to be vigilant in the run up to Christmas.

I hope your feeling okay for tomorrow’s funeral. It will be a sad day for you and the family, but hopefully it will bring relief when your Aunt is laid to rest. RIP

Afternoon all, what a cold miserable rainy day it's been here.
I'm making another big batch of chicken soup to freeze as it's proper grub for this weather.
