Have been visiting the site for a couple of months as was looking for a nice comfortable car. The insight into the Rover 75 was unbelievable & used the helpful hints when buying my Rover 75 only 3 weeks ago.
I won't have much to contribute at the moment as the car is still very new to me , but hope I can obtain as much information as possible to really enjoy it. Thanks in Advance. |

Drove a 416 for 10 years, needed a dipped headlight bulb so went to the car spares shop about 50 yards down the road from me, saw another red Rover parked next to it with "£500 long mot" in the window. Liked the look of it cos the lacquer is flaking on Tset (416 reg) and she looks scabby while this one looked gorgeous. Made enquiries, went home and about 15 mins later went back to the shop and bought her
Started her up and immediately noticed how quiet she is. Realising I had bought a really decent car for a change I decided to do my bestest to look after her properly and for that I needed information. Googled Rover 75 and in the results were a couple of forums. I clicked on this one and began reading a thread about the petrol gauge fluctuating in some cars. Now on my 416 the petrol gauge didn't move off the full mark until I had driven from Sheffield to Watford Gap services (about 83/84 miles away) and also when going downhill it showed almost empty while going uphill it would show almost full. I decided to join this forum to put this information on that thread, but when my registration was finally validated I couldn't find the thread. Ho Hum. Anyway, to cut a long story short, that is how I found this forum. Today I bought a set of beige electric seats off ebay. They are in Chesterfield which is basically the other side of a big hill from me so very easy to pick up. This 75 I have needs the tracking seeing to. I got the engine oil and filter changed this Monday, next are gearbox oil, power steering, clutch and brake fluid, two new front tyres wouldn't go amiss either. Another problem is the intermittent wipe works once than stops, and the first continuous wipe setting stops when the car stops and starts again when I set off. So a bit of work needed there too. Oh, and the reg FM04, led me to call her Mo |

How I found you!
I have taken on Willshot's former blue ZT (the one with the white stripe) and the club details are on the back window, happy days.

Glad I found you
My beast is a little ill and during the course of my searches for "Rover 75 knocking rear suspension" I stumbled upon you guys.
So far this week I've had the rear shocks and drop links off, with new ones on the way, thanks to advice and guidance from many peeps. So a big thanks to everyone so far. I fear, alas, I shall be consulting your font of all knowledge and wisdom for many weeks to come in order to chase out all the gremlins which have infested the ol' gal. Fun times ahead. |

Hi everyone, found out about this site through my dad, who used to have a Mk2 Connie SE CDTi before he gave it me earlier this year.

A client recommended the club as I had a few problems with my Tourer. In fact he owns 40 Rover 75's!
I visited as a guest and found answers from the 'forum'. Car now fixed at Gavin Fairleys Rover/MG Diagnostics at Princethorpe. But thanks to the forum I realised the garage I was using were 'messing' with the car, causing me one problem after another. Just got all the leaky coolant pipes changed, and the missed, broken, engine mounting which they passed for its recent M.O.T as well as the rear broken spring (had both done). I'm not very mechanically minded or able. So, I decided as I want to keep the Tourer, so I thought its best to 'join the club', which I've done and subscribed to.
