Default What happened to the 75 V8 development car ?

Browsing YouTube the other day , a short video came up showing the delivery of a burgundy V8 being rolled off a car transporter . I seemed to remember this was quite a few years back and the car may have been a development Rover 75 V8 however it was dressed as a ZT but had an automatic gearbox and a damaged engine if I remember.

Just curious if she was ever put back on the road

Another look and it appears badged as a 75 !

Have you got a link Pete? The only one I can recall was a damson V8 tourer that was in the scrapyard following the closure.

Hi Andy, if you search rescue rover 75 V8 it will come up. It's only 30 secs long and was posted by Dominic Middleton. I'm sure it was mentioned on here about 7 years ago.

I’m amazed at what turns up, certainly didn’t expect the ZT-T 385 at the NEC

Hi yes all back on the road and in immaculate condition. It had a new front and rear stuff-up, new struts, exhausts etc and had all the paint work sorted.

I'm in Dubai at the minute but will get some photos on when back in the new year.

Do you have the VIN on that car, Dom, or is it a pre-#001 pre-SARR SPL-VIN?

David

Hi David it is Vin No 185 .

Here a link to a few photos of a bit of the Journey. They are not in any logical order really but you get the idea https://photos.app.goo.gl/vxosESBvR6fumTKSA

Must be a labour of love, certainly more than I would have taken on! Congratulations on saving this historic car.
