Having been here for half of the decade, I can only echo what has been said, I had my last 75 for 5 and a half years, were it not for the help and advice received from the club, I wouldn't have kept it as long, never mind bought another 75. Which incidentally, I have just covered over 1000 miles in on two long trips in the last month, and wouldn't want to take any other car on a long trip.

I was a 'lurker' before I bought my diesel. I was trying to find out its foibles, oooohhhh missus, for around 12 months before buying a 75. I decided that the club was such an informative and happy place to be, with members always willing to help with any problem members and non member had. I joined in 2008 and have watched the club grow to what it is today. We have 'guru's' who have developed a network of support throughout the country, many thanks to them for helping to keep our cars up to scratch and running perfectly . Here's to the next 10 years.'

Didn't realise you're a "Newbie"

Happy birthday to the club, and a massive "Thankyou" to all those involved in running the ship, both past and present. Definitely the nicest place to stay on the whole interweb.

Like many others I suspect, I used the knowledge of the Club and its members to point me in the right direction when buying my Rover - the first car I'd had to buy with my own money in nigh on 30 years, so a BIG decision After purchase, the treasure trove of information, plus online and face to face help, all kept that Rover on the road - and me solvent and sane.
Now sans Rover, I wouldn't dream of leaving (or not paying my annual fee) the Club - the friends and aquaintances I've made over the past few years are worth a massive amount to me, and if I can give newer members even a tiny percentage of the help I've had - I'll be a happy man.
Many happy returns to the Club, its members past & present and the team that keeps it running
Now where can I park my non-MGR transport at Eden Camp next year where no-one will see it?

Passed my driving test on 5th November, well over half a century ago now. First time to so good news.

Few years later...

Made redundant for the first of three times in all my career. Yes, November the 5th ... again.

There are other events but, I find as each anniversary approaches I'm filled with a little unease.

Another day of concern for me ... July 21st. Sad memories on a couple of times.

:P.S. Glad it's almost over
Did anything happen this November 5th?
