AFAIK, all diesels take the same ECU.

Just back from the first long trip with the CC fitted and what a difference it makes to driving comfort.

I didn't drive on any motorways but there were plenty of long safe stretches of road to use it on. It really adds to the driving pleasure of the car.

Probably one of the most worthwhile retro-fits I've done - in addition to being easy to do and cheap (£55).

Default Installing Cruise control

Hello Mr. Cruise
You inspired me to install a cruice control in my old (but still very nice) 1999 model. It's a 1.8 petrol though but I guess that really doesn't matter.

From what you have been writing, it seems like I only need the ECU and Steering switch? The wiring loom is already in the car?

Do I need any other items ?
Do you know where to geet the ECU and steering switch ?

Best regards
Hans

Alas the 1.8 was never offered with CC, so what ever loom you've got isn't for CC. Christopher did, however do a very good job of fitting CC to his 1.8
