Default Camshaft sensor + t4

I think I may have a faulty camshaft sensor( CDTI) if I start the car from cold move it out the yard and turn it off while I lock up etc it really struggles to start also the same when hot but not as bad otherwise it runs fine, question is would a faulty sensor show up on T4 before I pay out for a new one ?

Incremental angle sensor statically defective (intermittent) is the reported fault verbatim
