What do forum membrs think of this one for sale in SW France?
I today came across this ad for a Rover 75 CT for sale in the Aveyron département of southwest France, not a million miles from me.
https://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/1474968508.htm/ I don't think I've ever seen one in this colour. And it seems to have xenons, serpents, as well as sunroof, and the ad says it has grey leather interior. It's got a big mileage (over 300 000 km). And it has a clutch master/slave cylinder problems, like so many CDT's. But it sure looks (potentially) lovely and the owner is keen to sell and would probably let it go for under the 800 euros asking price... |

Primrose Yellow. As rare as a cannibals salad I believe?

Any other car just replace the wing and door with ones of the same colour but doubt if that's an option with primrose yellow.

I think that you should buy it Michael. It’s such a lovely colour and any body shop worth its salt should be able to match the paint.

Over here in UK, in RHD, and any other colour, it would be worth a lot less, perhaps £400. Clutch slave fix is an expensive repair at a garage. So plenty of room to 'debattre le prix'!

Seems as though there is two cars for the price of one. Pictures of two cars according to what I can see.

Strange that the high level stop light is missing from the top of the rear screen, or is it not a legal requirement in France?

Investigate the "Carte grise à jour"
My understanding of this is that the carte grise isn't in the current owners name, so you will have to pay at least 2 registration fees at around 200 euro a go. Don't take my word for it, but due diligence is certainly required, If you do have to pay 2 reg fee's I would be hammering the price right down. Needs a new clutch, bodywork, new CT, 2 registration fee's - I'd offer 300e and walk away........ I can't see too many people wanting to buy it. |

Yes, make sure the car is in his name, if not don't buy it.
you have to have a controle technique less than 6 months old to be able to put the car in your name. I just went through hell trying to get my mini in my name. I had to get the sellers documents and put it in his name first. he received the carte grise at his house, and i was hoping and praying that he would sent it to me, he did fortunately. Pete. |
