Checked out a couple of prices for a stainless exhaust, complete with the bumper cut out and trim, for my ZTT. Cough !!! Maybe a few more things have priority huh ?

Thanks to MarinaBrian's diagnosis I was able to check up on my ABS sensor and found this...

After separating the wires I was able to use copious amounts of insulating tape to apply a temporary fix.

De - rusted the boot seal seam just over the bumper, started with a dremel to get rid of a few rust blisters then treated the area with rust remedy , then primer & top coat.

Cheap and cheerful fix then Jack, let's see how the lad fares with his upcoming MOT now

Cheers, got it booked in Wednesday, I'll take it out tomorrow to see if it holds up.

Edit: drove it today and no ABS light, hurrah! One for the future jobs list

Fitted my BM24 tuner, picked up one quite reasonably from Ebay. I did look at the BM54 but saw no benefit in spending £150+ for one, and don't spend lots of time driving to worry about upgrading it for Bluetooth and stuff.

Fitted with the HK system as well have to say it sounds pretty good - even when cranked up, although I think I need to have a look behind the front door cards as they "buzz" at certain bass frequencies.

I like the improved screen with the radio stations displayed underneath the display.

Went out for the day with 3 others from my cricket club to Taunton to watch Somerset play Surrey.
On the trouble free 160 mile round trip from Plymouth to Taunton, I passed 198k miles.
And the weather was good!

That is the biggest load of bull I've ever heard! I had that exact symptom last year and was only an advisory!

Methinks the MOT was just itching for an excuse to pull a stunt like that.
