Default Hello Again.

Hi all,

Been away for a couple of years. It looks like we are back in the 75 fold again. We sold our last two 75's on back then and have been running a 69 P6 2000 and our MGF. We also had a Saab 93 as a daily driver.

This is the point where the best laid plans and all that started to unravel. I fried the engine on the F travelling along the M42 / M6 interchanges when the plastic thermostat housing crumbled and I could not find a safe refuge before the temperatures went nuclear. this car has been at a trusted MG specialist having a replacement engine fitted along with other restoration work. The plan was to get rid of the Saab which needs some front suspension work which was not worth me doing as its got nearly 200,000 on the clock and using the MGF for a while whilst the finances recovered. Unfortunately the MOT expired on the Saab last weekend and I had to find a stop gap car in a hurry.
Now the good news at last. I managed to find what I assume to be quite an early PPD 2.0V6 club that was registered at the beginning of Oct 1999. IT looks like its a gem of a find. Owned by the same elderly gent for the past 16 years. Serviced every year and very well maintained. Its got some cosmetic niggles, a bit of lacquer peel etc but mechanically tight as a drum and drives like a new car.
As a bonus even though its only a club it has a far higher spec than my old club SE.
Its good to be back, I'd forgotten how good they are to drive.

Dave

Welcome back.

Sounds like a great find.

You're only just down the road from me. I drive through Sutton every week on my way to Guide Dog puppy class with Quizzie. I'll keep a look out .

Maybe you'll make it to the October nano at Four Ashes?

Looking forward to meeting you.

Andy.
