Default Driveline Shunt

I can't understand this problem, so hopefully someone on here can enlightne me! Driveline shunt is really bad on my cdt saloon. The lower engine mount and hydramount have been replaced, and the gearbox mount looks ok. It all just feels baggy!

What I'm wondering is this...............Could a failing engine ancillary be enough to cause this? That is to say, f the air con compressor for example is graunchy and tired, making the engine work harder. Just a thought.

Did you replace the lower mount for a genuine one, I have seen some cheap copies cause this issue.

Not genuine I'm afraid, but it did look to be decent quality when I fitted it. What made me suspicious of the problem being elsewhere was the fact that the one I removed was polybushed.

What is 'driveline shunt'? is it engine rock when taking up the drive?

I would have a look at it when the engine is started and stopped, you should be able to see if there is excess movement.
