Default Rover 75 V998 LOB

Good morning,
I am interested in a Rover 75 V998 LOB.
The car has black sills but body colour front and rear valance.
Is this an in between car, part Cowley part Longbridge.
Could anyone give me any build information regarding the car?
Regards David

Morning Brian,
Worth your weight in gold...and a bit more.
I thought they had black valances as well?
David
PS I need glasses (better glasses) it is black all round.
Thanks Brian.

Yes, Cowley cars did have Black sills & Black valances on the bumpers but I'm guessing the bumpers have been repainted just all one colour at some point.

I had front & rear bumpers & sills painted in the body colour on one of my 1999 Arran White 75's because I think it looks better on the lighter colours (doesn't really show as much on darker colours anyway).

Only my personal choice of course.

Mind you, my Cowley 2.5 hasn't got and (after a few exploratory scrapes) appears never to have had black sills or valances. I think there's a degree of random variation that needs applying to the rule
