Looked for it when I got the ZTT 6 1/2 years ago but, was unavailable. Three years later, thought I’d have a quick look on DVLA site and it was there!

Only problem is that it’d be no good on any other car other than a 05 ZTT

I love it though, gets some good comments, if people notice it All legally spaced too

Perfect, I just wish '54' was available. Funny enough several years around that are available... go figure.

I was very lucky one night on Ebay and I found a number plate for sale with my initials and B6 for sale at £500 or make offer.

My offer was not accepted and the listing ended. The next day it appeared again at £250 or make offer so I watched it.

The following week it was relisted again but this time £150 and make offer so I offered £50 and ended up paying £80.

Apparently he was emigrating and he either sold it or he lost it.

It has been on 4 of my cars so it has cost me more in transfer fees over the last 10 years than it cost me.

Where I live getting a personalised plate is quite straightforward, You pay an $80. fee and submit five choices. If your choice meets the criteria (Certain number/letter combinations are not allowed and they check all requests in hundreds of languages and slang to make sure you aren't insulting anybody) you are issued the plates and have the privilege of paying an annual fee to keep them.
I only did it once, on my MGB-GT but got tired of people asking me what it meant and turned them in when I sold the car.

One of the best plates I've seen is a guy I know around here. Retired now but he used to work in the music business, his 300C Touring has the reg number MU51 CEN, musician.

I have SE04 ROV on my 2004 Contemporary SE, and R25 VER on retention for the next 2.5 Rover. Wouldn't look right on my ZT V6! My diesel ZT has M6 RDV, which is as near MG ROV as I could get at the time.

Private plates just make any car feel even more special.

A number of years ago had an Escort with TWO5S,sold car with plate for £200.
Then i had a 2litre jag with J 2.0 XJB. Sold that cheaply.
I should have asked if there was anyone working at the J20 pop factory with a XJ8.
