Drop an N series Turbo lump in, a set of bucket seats with five point harnesses and a roll cage
Err no, just leave it as is, apart from a compulsory update to the ECM firmware that Rover specified, and I seriously doubt has been carried out yet It is my favourite Mk1 colour, much better results from a day spent polishing than wedgewood too Brian |

Thanks all, original it is then
Blingy has once again had a hissy fit, probably due to the attention I've been giving the green one, took her out today & the front n/s caliper has decided to stick again, after another refurb so a new one is on order & will be fitted That's what I was getting at about selling it, was getting a bit down, but, she's been part of my life for over 9 years now |

Be a shame if you decide to let Blingy go, but if needs must.

I love the leather seats in my '75 and would never dream of changing them. But, (whisper it quietly) the cloth versions are much nicer to sit on . I'd keep it 'as is' and hang on to Blingy to satisfy the chrome cravings .

I'd keep her as standard as is "sensible" for current road conditions.
By that I mean add stuff like front fog lights - if she hasn't got them already - as they can be, quite literally, a life saver. I'm a fan of Cruise but that's because of the main reason I bought a 75 - traveling from the Midlands to see our sons in Newcastle M42/M1/M18/A1......... Cosmetic stuff such as cloth/leather, if in nice condition, I'd leave alone. Yes, it's nice to have a lovely wooden wheel and all those little "extras" but that's personal choice and it sounds like you have one with lots of those already. Maybe an up to date Double DIN unit for the convenience of Bluetooth/MP3's etc. If she's mechanically sound then perhaps just enjoy her as she is . Andy. A lot depends on your plans Ronnie. Are you going to keep both long term and if you are, is that to split mileage or to have a back up car, or is the new one such low mileage and good condition that you hope it's value will rise? Basically if you'll be using it a lot I'd not worry about how low the miles are and put the bits on it that you like to have on a 75. If you like the seats I'd probably say just add a wood wheel as I prefer them over the standard wheel and eventually put a set of serpents on for looks once you need tyres. Probably upgrade the stereo if you're into that but keep all the original parts so easily swapped back if you end up selling it as a V low mileage example.
