Wouldn't mind if we could get the original purchase price for our 75s ………….

I bought an Austin Westminster A90 around 1968 for around £40 . Had it for around 8 years. Reliable as a Rolex watch.Got £40 for it when I sold it to the chap next door but one. He said it was the best car he had ever had.

Cost you a damn site more than £40 now! I found an ad for a '63 110 Westminster, even the same colour as my father's, £6,500.

Happy to see that another one will be saved I guess its time for you to sign in to the Cambridge Oxford Owners Club?? The membership will give you discount on most parts from www.bmcfarina.com which can source most parts for these cars.

Brian, You made me browse around on my computer for an hour to find the correct image. Who other have a picture containing a Rover 75 + Farina? Here is mine:

The Rover is sadly gone, but the Oxford is still with me. It has actually been with the family since new in -68!

You sly NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- Brian, i had no idea you took those pics, let alone started a thread on here!
Anyway, so you all know, i bought it because its an A55 & it was made in 1959, so we're both the same age. my dad had one & it seemed like i travelled the world in the back seat of that car!
Rose tinted specs? probably, seeing as i have a Ninja ZX12R & a turbo (petrol) Zs for speed (& a few others) i'm not planning on doing anything drastic to the Farina-yet.
Trikey, I'm dissapointed in you-no mention of metalflake? you're welcome to the banded rostyles-they are truly awful.
Ray, the workhorse has been a godsend the last few months, in truth i love it. its been used & abused, had god knows what on the roof bars & trailer, including driving to Worcester & back to pick up the Farina & its only let me down when a certain member swapped out the ecu for a dodgy article he was testing!
As for getting my finger out (who ever it was that mentioned it) its only fair to say i practically live at the workshop, someone who shall be nameless has to be (mostly) shamed into turning up!

Fair play tho, he kept Saxo amused on sat with his antics & he did "most" of the work on the car for its mot

Dave you’ve ruined the ZS by putting the turbo motor into it, I’ll drop the R8 coupe off at the weekend......
