Glad it passed Brian

Nothing better than a clean sheet.

Indeed Ray, it does have a section of MGF front wing welded into the silencer now

Advisory from last year when Turbo Dave tested it, I found a small hole.......but there is nothing like a genuine MG Rover repair section to fix a thirteen year old exhaust

Congratulations Brian what do you think? Is there any way of reducing the emissions in an old V6?

I was "busy" repainting an mgf & bleeding the brakes on my Cambridge, so Brian took the car up for mot, imagine my face when he texted me "sat waiting for the new tester to arrive-hes an ex traffic cop"
I texted back, just drive it to the scrappy, i'll pick you up, save £40 of my money & an hour of your life
So i was pleasantly surprised when he told me it flew through!
So, the parts chaser has a new lease of life & i said i would duo tone it if it passed, 1 litre of pbt & some laquer added to the latest paint order

No advisories issued, a straight pass

This is also the first diesel I've presented for an actual MOT post the introduction of the new emission test procedure.

So as an EOBD compliant car, the plated emission level limit for opacity is 1.33 1/M

The actual reading for this 160 upgraded car was 0.23 1/M

So I think it's safe to say that a well maintained diesel, even one that is 160 upgraded is not going to have an issue passing the emission test

Nice one Brian

However close but no cigar Mine came out as 0.21 1/M

Working standard EGR & 160 Big Russ Remap

I have always changed the EGR & inlet manifold for cleaned ones along with the pcv filter every 6 months.

Mine, like the one you've just had done, If you look after them & do it right The 160 diesel is no problem

Regards

Paul
