Default MOT test today

Just back from the MOT station with Ray's old 75, and it looks like the time spent lying on my back under it over the past couple of days, checking it over has paid off.

No advisories issued, a straight pass

This is also the first diesel I've presented for an actual MOT post the introduction of the new emission test procedure.

So as an EOBD compliant car, the plated emission level limit for opacity is 1.33 1/M

The actual reading for this 160 upgraded car was 0.23 1/M

So I think it's safe to say that a well maintained diesel, even one that is 160 upgraded is not going to have an issue passing the emission test

Default Well done!

Congratulations Brian, on an excellent result!
If my maths are correct, the 0.23 1/M is a staggering 87% less than the plated level limit for that vehicle.
Lets hope all the diesels can obtain a result like this.

Any pass is great and with no advisories, shows a job well done. Congrats Brian. Perhaps we should start an NA club section?
