On a serious point though, having more than one car for some is almost a given these days, even if one is only a back up. The bits that get my goat are those that as Paul says bang on about it Mileage - Blah, Shiny - Blah, Not out in the rain - Blah & even have them stood on carpet in the garage.

A friend of mine is Marketing Manager for The Coventry Transport Museum & tells me they regularly take their vehicles out for a run to keep them ticking over, not Thrust I hasten to add.

Use your cars is it not what they were made for

I completely agree Paul, to be fair I did around 9000 miles in the lad a couple of years back.

What I hope to do is make this my only 75 in due course, it's an 1800 NA so flat as a witches youknowwhat, but quiet and civilised, looks nice and drives superbly

I'll be knacking the ZT once the test expires, no other reason than I don't particularly like the car, and it will be worth more in component form.

So back into a 75 after four years of using the ZT as the daily hack

Is it bad that I would have quite liked to have seen that?

No Cliff

To be expected

Don't Know if you can still get it but Dual polish used to be good for being shiny but not slippy.

Back in the day the Army lads used to use it to stop the layers of polish(bull) cracking & on the soles of their "best" boots for inspections & parades

Regards

Contrary to some opinions you have a degree of sense Brian IMVHO the 75 is a nicer car to drive, the ZT is to harsh a ride for me, No Matter what the mileage or engine.

Having just bought a Nonogram Light Custard (Primrose Yellow) 2.0 v6 I'll give you a run for your money on flatness.

Regards

Paul

I am embarrassed to say my 75 has only covered 350 ish miles since it's last MOT.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it was only MOTed 2 weeks ago lol.

It's a car and meant to be driven. If I wanted an investment I would have bought an oil painting. Much easier to keep, takes very little room etc etc

Aha !! what you need is a nice coat of old english white on the top half of that Paul

I'm willing to bet it's faded somewhat anyway, and just think what Debbie will make of that

WHAT & be like Trikey if he did his

We could do opposites, then it would look like we'd done a top & bottom Cut & Shut

Yeah it is a bit faded, no lacquer peel though so just some elbow grease required. Already had my Orders

Must get a temperature controlled garage, some carpet & a subscription to the weather channel now

It will be the daily, certainly in the winter, then use the Saab vert for the better weather. That way both cars get USED.

Regards

Paul
