Default 1.8 petrol clutch

The clutch pedal on the 1.8 petrol is very esy to push down and is not fully disengaging the clutch.
Where do I fill / check the clutch fluid level?

The haynes manual says it shares fluid with the brake system but reading on here it mentions the master cylinder being down by the top of the clutch pedal.
So which is correct and where is it?
Thanks in advance.

That's one of four errors in Haynes. The clutch fluid reservoir is integral with the cylinder above the pedal. Fluid loss is typical and refilling/bleeding the clutch hydraulics may rejuvenate it for a while. There are hundreds of threads on this and maybe even a HowTo if you use the search system.
