have a search on here, some good how to's. basically it is sand them with a roughish sandpaper, sand them with finer paper then sand a bit more with even finer paper and finally polish them with a polishing paste, they come up like near new. Best rule is to work in short bursts, do not sand or polish for too long as the lens will heat up and eventually "burn".
Here's one members how to polish headlights experience it is very time consuming and labour intensive |

Brilliant thread guys - I noticed that the offside front light on ours is going cloudy! Will attempt to polish and see how it goes - thanks!

I used some of this
PLASTIC POLISH PERSPEX AIRCRAFT VISOR WINDSCREEN WINDOW http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/perspex-polish Available from eBay or other suppliers... Worked reasonably and not too hard using a cloth and a little rubbing. |

Mk1 headlamps - glass or plastic? Apologies for numpty question - but I guess plastic, but they felt like glass when I applied the beam deflectors to go away on holiday recently... |

My original MK1 headlamps were glass, I have now changed them to xenons which have plastic
