Default flickering Xenon headlights issue

Hi all,

Just asking on here to see if I can help out a customer. Early this year he purchased a set of angel eye quad Xenon headlights from me. When we fitted them for some reason the headlights kept on flickering now and again. They would flicker once as a time, both headlights would flicker completely in sync with each other and they would flicker once every 4-5 seconds on average, but sometimes there could be big gaps before they flicker again.

The headlights were tested on my car just to ensure there wasn't an issue with the headlights, and the headlights work fine so there seems to be an issue somewhere on the customer's car.

One thing I did noticed when we reinstalled his halogen projector lights is that his headlights seem to get slightly brighter when I increase the engine revs, this is particularly noticeable when the main beams are switched on.

Well over the last 4-5 months he's taken the car to 3 or 4 different auto electricians and all of them can't seem to find the issue. They've tried cleaning the earth terminals, changing the battery and recently replaced the alternator in case it was an issue there but none of this has resolved the issue. Wiring has also been checked to ensure there are no breaks or damage anywhere.

Any ideas what could be causing this? It's a really bazaar issue that I've never come across on any other 75/ZT I've worked on. The only thing he hasn't changed is the LSM but could a faulty LSM cause such issue?

Cheers
Rick
