Default can tourer rear window be opend without power

Is it possible to open the rear window on a Tourer without power?
I assume I will need to remove trim around the lock on the hatch and then unscrew the lock, will this work? Will the lock move away from the window?

The tailegate is unlocked so I can access the lock on the tailgate.

If the tailgate is open, remove the plug and power it up from a 12v supply then open the rear window.

If it's Trents, they normally keep a jump starter behind the counter for powering up cars.

Take the whole tail gate. Get in to the car and open the triangle holder and pull the small tap at the side and pull it to release the tailgate itself ?
