sold my car, real quick
Sold my car this evening
This may well be a shock to some but worry not. Wife put it on auto Trader last night and it sold this evening. Not my Rover 75 but 52 plate Honda Accord 2.0 SE Executive Hatchback. Got to be honest did not think it would sell, engine management light on, mot for only 3 months, expensive to tax and run, water getting into boot. Was hoping to keep the car until the 25th Went for beer money but we wanted a quick sale. Bit of a contradiction Even though I knew we were selling it I could not abuse it and took care where I parked it. chap came down from Birmingham, phoned me at 1pm to ask about it and turn up at 6pm. Did not really think he would turn up tax direct debit and insurance cancelled but he's a trader so hopefully he will be ok. macafee2 |

I'll bet it has cost less to maintain than the Rover! And will probably join the inter-galactic club, if it hasn't already. Here's a Honda Accord I would love to own. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-HOND....c100005.m1851

I used a 2002 Honda Accord 1.8 petrol to go down to Weymouth a few years ago for a holiday and it was a fantastic car. Quiet, refined and was great on fuel. Wouldnt hesitate to buy one again.

One of my fishing buddies had one for many years. Bought it as an ex-company car so with known history.
His house is at the bottom of a slope and one night a neighbours car slipped the handbrake (no, not a 75) and rolled into the side of his Accord. Of course, at that age, an immediate write-off but he was gutted. it wasn't perfect, it wasn't a special model nor a looker. But to him it was the most reliable trusted car he had owned in nearly 50 years of motoring.
