One for Hans, or anyone else in the know:

The I bus cable is Red/yellow/White - yes?. Off the top of my head,I think I saw a spare I Bus connector block the last time I had the centre console out when I changed the airbag ecu. (Could be wrong of course). I take it these are the three wires that we have to connect to the pcb and if so in what order. I can easily test which is the -ve ground with a multimeter and I am guessing it will be the white one - obviously I would check this but wont be able to till I get home. If this is the case, would the red be +12v and the yellow the comms cable i.e. the middle connection on the pcb.....maybe I am barking up the wrong tree here.

If this is correct-ish above and one doesnt have a spare connection block, is it okay to tap into an existing cable using ScotchLok connectors?

No, this is NOT correct.
The I-bus is not a cable but a single wire.
The color code is White/Red/Yellow.
As far as I know it's the only wire with THREE colors.
Ground (Earth) is usually Black.
+12V to radio LightGreen/White.

I've just removed my radio and found this, I beleive it's the I-bus cable which connects to Hans schaaper's interface. Can anyone advise me if this is correct please.

Interesting connector. I'm amazed how different the wiring is on these cars.
The Red/White/Yellow is the I-bus connection.
The Blue/Orange and Blue/Purple come from the rotary coupler for the steering wheel controls.
How was this connected to the radio?

Hans, the connector is not connected to anything it's just hanging loose.

The radio/CD is original and the steering wheel controls do work.

I'm hoping to find this connector on mine, but which way does the 12v and Ground wires from the circuit board connect to this? (assuming they do).
Thanks for your input.

I wired mine to the fuse board under the glove box using a piggy-back fuse.
