Having spent the day in a my new 36K V6 Connie SE, facelift it's so evident of it just feeling like "a car" instead of something special and luxurious like my Mk1,if no-one saves it I'd like to have most of the bits on it like the sound deadening, logo'd stuff and dimming mirrors etc retro fitted!
I'm quite shocked at the difference in the quality of the materials.
That's my point, in the history of motoring we are not likely to see cars like ours again. I've never bought a car that wasn't from a breaker or sold spares or repair, it's the joy of making something right again for me. I suspect you will have had many moments of doubt already, could you face it on blocks being stripped or seeing it being loved by someone else? It has a unique place in the history of the 75...It actually had a well respected motoring personality praising it, that was a real first for our cars. It can never be about the money when it's under the skin. It's your choice and there's no pockets in shrouds.

You could spend 1000-2000 on a replacement, and the same could still happen to that one. If you fix it, its done
If you read my opening post , I've already bought it's replacement . I'm giving someone the chance to save it if they would like to .
