87k on a 06 registered diesel automatic. However, it only had 47k when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago. Should easily be good for 150k, best car I've owned.

I got a 56 plate cdt, I think still sum 40k so low miles. Once 75k comes I tend to think of cars being high mileage with seats well worn.

I think anything under 70k is quite low now. Between that and 140k is quite average. Up to 180k is a bit above average, and from then on, high miles. One of my friends only buys his Volvos when they've got over 180k on them, and they drive far better than many low mileage cars. Low mileage cars often look prettier, but, cars are made to be driven, and mine are.

My cdt manual 51 (dec 2001) plate had 113K on it when I bought it in Feb 06, it was a lease hire rep mobile and very well serviced it now has 196K, from MOT to MOT (Feb 14 to Feb 15) it's done 4,600 Miles so intially a high miler but now it's beginning to average out over its life.

My 2001 2-litre Connie tourer bought in September has 118k, most of it done in the first 10 years of life as a company car owned by a farm.
My 2002 2-litre Connie SE bought yesterday has 54k, the first six years doing ony 1500 per year. It's almost immaculate, even the tools have never been unwrapped! Mike |

Forgot to add, seeing as FrazzleTC mentioned them, that my Volvo 240 has done 210k, mechanically untouched bar cam belt changes.

I used to buy low mileage cars a few years old 20-30K miles and run them to 70-90K when I considered they were getting on a bit, Now that seems crazy, I have an 11 year old Discovery 2 that Ive had since 33K, Its now on 131K and running just fine. I think 200+ shouldnt be a problem. Im now considering a 75 as a commuter and looking at 120k mile cars which should have plenty of life left in them. Modern diesels, and I guess to a lesser extent petrols just keep on going as long as they get regular fresh oil.
