To me that looks good value if the pictures are to be believed and there is proof that the timing belts have also been replaced fairly recently. As an ex MG employee car, what was the press garage at Longbridge continued to function for quite some time after the demise of MGR.
The v6 engine is not too thirsty in normal driving (in car computer shows around 32-34mpg on motorway trips) - elsewhere it depends how you drive it. The v6 is generally a dependable engine and much less prone to head gasket problems than the 4 cylinder engine and has distinctive sound and character. The colour suits the lines of the car and is still very popular - nicely matched by the darker wheels. The "crumpled" appearance of the seats is pretty typical of the later cars and not usually anything to worry about. Try the car for yourself and do the usual checks as with any old car. I actually quite like the colour of this and think it looks 'meaner' than the the blue one - beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose lol. I actually went to see a similar one a few years ago and loved it but couldn't stand the owner and wouldn't give him my money.
