Advice on door mirror replacement
Another driver being too far over the road took out my door mirror so I have to replace the whole mirror.
Does anyone have any tips on how to do this to save the task as listed in the Haynes Manual please? I've source a replacement and can't find a 'how to' in our forum although I'm sure I'm not the first to have this task. Thanks in advance for the advice I'm sure will be out there. John |

if the Haynes manual is telling you to take the door car off then I think that's the ony way.
Tip, with door card removed you will find roughly in the centre of the door two square black plastic fixings. Note which way up they go, remove them from the door and fit them to the door card. Makes it easier to refit Having two people to refit the door card makes lining it up easier macafee2 |

Iirc, remove the screw in the vent, then pull back the rubber surround & the plastic cover & you should see 3 nuts. Simply undo & pull off the mirror.

Options Suggested
Thanks both MACAFEE2 & SUZUBLU.
There are 2 options and SUZUBLU's seems the easiest which I'll try first. If I can succeed that will save the removal of the door card and be of benefit to any other forum members who have the same challenge as I'll confirm my result. It seems odd that Haynes has missed this easier method when they claim to be the best! Thanks again to you both, John |

Yeah easy. I've had to do it twice recently. Second time ordered the wrong (fixed, not push back type) from ebay seller. I googled rover 75 wing mirror replacement and found handy chap in a weird mask explaining how to.

Until you can replace the mirror there's always Parker's fix.

Yep this method works done it a few times.
My tip is to wrap a bit of masking tape around the top window frame just after the slope stops . It stops all the black trim coming away all the way back which can be a PUA to get back in right Scott |
