Default smokey diesel

Hi All, I have started to notice a bit of black smoke out of the exhaust when I put my foot down, is there anything I can do to stop this. Cheers, Gary

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

smokey diesels are a sign of part burn fuel - first step is to check the air filter for blackage or being very dirty.
if you get stuck after all the advice see a diesel specialist.

Have you checked the Inter-cooler pipe ? Look for a split or the deteriorated O-rings... Plenty of threads on this subject

Hi Gary.
When i first brought my car i had same trouble i changed the PCV filter, purchased from Jules,

Changd the Air filter

Cleaned the EGR valve

Changed the oil and also changed the intercooler O-Rings also you can purchase from jules.

All the jobs very easy and at low cost once done give the car a good run ie Italian tune up all the above can be found in a search such as good luck
