Auto box shuddering/vibration
As per title just got another driveshaft as thaught the centre support bearing had gone but no different,if you drive normally between gears it shudders but if you put your foot down or ease off it goes but if you drive it hard it doesn’t do it at all,can any one shed any light as to what it could be,I’m veering towards valve blocks and fluid change but not clued up on these gearboxes tia

It might be a faulty solenoid. This has been discussed before, so a search should bring up the relevant data. Also do you know how much oil you have in the box is it low? when was it last changed ? I am sure someone will have had the same problem and post up as such. link https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ight=atf+flush

With an obscure fault like this, I think I'd be changing the fluid for the proper Rover stuff (available from Land Rover specialists like Brookwells) and making sure the level is correct afterwards, as per the official Rover procedure.
And don't believe what some say about gearbox temp not being important.....it DOES make a big difference to the fluid level in the box. At least then, you can eliminate if the fault persists

Not yet PAUL I’m now wondering whether the new second hand shaft is unbalanced,I’m going to try rebuilding my original one and flush gearbox oil first if not there’s a transplant on the cards, not looking forward to the latter lol lol
