Default These cars really are incredible!

Seasons greeting to all! I have just completed my first long trip in my tourer (1100 mile round trip from NE Scotland to Norfolk) and I couldnt be more pleased with the performance. I was a little nervous about such a journey but it was quiet, comfortable and almost trouble-free (a pot-hole knocked out a head-lamp bulb). Cruise control was a god-send and my Navall 3 performed faultlessly with igo only trying to lose me once! A thoroughly enjoyable non-stop 12 hours out and 4.5 & 7 hours back with overnight stop at the in-laws. Just the MOT to hopefully pass next week and I look forward to a great 2018.

I agree these cars on good on a motorway run.
Did a return trip to Paris earlier in the year, not as many miles as you but 650 in 25 hours with a concert in between. Smooth and comfortable

Yes, agree. Proper mile munching cars and great to be in on the motorway and A roads. Mine's probably not as relaxed as a 75 but, still love it

We were stuck on the motorway for six hours on Sunday start/stop, had to do 150 Miles, thank god the Limo was an automatic because my left foot would have got cramp with a clutch, and it never hiccuped or missed a beat. A really comfy car.

Speaking as someone who generally prefers cars from the last century it does worry me a little that you all seem almost surprised that your modern robot-built, German engineered cars actually got from A to B and back.

I've always assumed that anything under 15 years old should just do what it says on the tin ....so it's almost a pleasant surprise to have so much to fettle and fiddle with on my ZTT. But it is an almost new car in my eyes (56 plate) and I'm more worried about some clown bashing into it than a break down

I completed another of my regular 550-mile round trips at the weekend - these alone were responsible for 7000 miles last year. Thanks to the weather conditions and the extra hour's delay halfway there (as a result of someone's ambition exceeding their talent), it took me six hours to get there and over five to get back. Still couldn't do this in any other car I've owned.

I love my mg6, drive it every day but for long journeys you cannot beat the 75. It's like driving in your comfy armchair.

yep - fantastic cars - I use mine to buzz up and down the country all the time.

that's why I can't understand when people get rid just because the cost of fixing may be more than its monetary value, then only to buy a more expensive car..

And I am not saying they are the best cars in the world.. what I am saying is that they are possibly one of the best value for money cars you can buy.
